As computers and developer tools get more and more powerful, tasks that were very difficult 5 or 10 years ago are becoming trivial. The focus of the IT industry shifts to the user, and User Experience is becoming the key differentiating factor between "good enough" and "great" applications. We believe that even Line of Business applications can and should be made enjoyable and productive to use and easy to learn and master. The key to achieving this goal is focusing on User Experience from the start. Our client's feedback and the three Microsoft Innovation Awards we received prove that we are on the right path.
Response is a small company, with a handful of professionals, educated by world-famous universities, and the challenges of working on real-world projects and cooperating with real-world clients. We have developed multiple award winning applications and websites using Windows Phone, WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation), Silverlight and ASP.Net. The GM of Response, András Velvárt is a five time Microsoft Most Valuable Professional awardee for his contribution to the development community in Hungary and worldwide.
Response is located in Budapest, Hungary - one of the fastest growing capitals in the European Union when it comes to Information Technology.
Kinect Quiz is a fully-featured quiz engine for Kinect. This is a fully skinable and configurable engine, which saw its first real application for Yaz at a pharmaceutical exhibition. Our UK partner, ASK created the design and we worked on the development and UX part of the application. For the engine, we went beyond the basic “select an answer” questions, and solved the usability challenges for multiple answer questions, list reordering (e.g. place the items in chronological order) and matching questions and answers. The application is created in a way that allows us to quickly change the graphics and the questions, thus adopt the quiz engine to any other brand.
Winner of Response’s third Microsoft Innovation Awars, SurfCube sports an innovative new interaction model while being the most feature rich web browser for Windows Phone 7. It was voted #1 2012 Community App Awards in User Experience category and #3 Productivity App. As one of out users put it, SurfCube is… FUNctional. SurfCube has also piqued the interest of Nokia, who partnered with us to offer SurfCube for free for Hungarian Nokia Lumia users for a limited time. We have branded SurfCube to reflect Nokia’s Amazing Everyday campaign.SurfCube on FacebookGet SurfCube

Created for Microsoft Hungary, based on the hardware by Skreeno, this Jedi-powered Demo Wall showcases Windows and other Microsoft videos in a Hungarian store. The application is written in WPF, and while designing the User Experience, special care was taken to simplify the 'Jedi' gestures people passing by can learn. The end result is a cool display that made Steve Ballmer (Microsoft CEO) congratulate us on the job well done.
Művész is out first attempt at breaking away from traditional software design. We strived to revolutionize how LOB (Line of Business) applications behave and to prove that grey buttons and rectangles are not the only way to go. Even business software can be fun and productive to use! The Művész client runs on a touchscreen UMPC without keyboard, and was built using WPF. The application won Microsoft’s Innovation Award in 2008 and was featured as the first ever case study in The Architecture Journal”Case Study: Support Technicians on the Road
When we were approached by Grepton Plc. to create a WPF organization chart browser for their client, we started experimenting with how Organization Chart information can be visualized in novel ways. The key thought was that if organization units contain their sub-units, we should show this relationship as such, and not with lines. You can see the result in the video. This application has also been ported to Microsoft Surface, becoming the first ever Surface application in Hungary.
